LOVEFiLM to Amazon Prime Video Migration
Consulting on Microsoft Compliance standards for a large streaming platform's digital migration.
Overview
I was Lead Compliance tester for the migration on Xbox consoles.
The Challenge
The Amazon team lacked specific 1st party compliance experience within the team / company at the time, and it was all part of a high-profile migration piece from a branding perspective, so there were a lot of eyes on the project.
The Approach
I was deployed via a third party to work as a consultant within the team. I owned the manual compliance testing efforts on Xbox consoles, as well as supporting the internal team to document the testing techniques and standards, to enable a smooth handover process. Playing an active role in Sprint planning and bug triage sessions, to ensure the testing was comprehensive and compliance issues were prioritised effectively.
The Outcome
From a compliance perspective, the certification itself was a success. I handed over the necessary skills to the in-house team to continue the ongoing checks for future releases. The overall brand migration went smoothly and the Xbox product was one of the standout performers.
